About Me

At Adult and Adolescent Psychological Services I provide psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, psychological evaluations and other therapeutic services. I specialize in the areas of post traumatic stress, and forensic (legal) psychology, among others. See my Areas of Specialty page for more information. I also teach other professionals about treating trauma, have published articles in journals and chapters in books, and presented in many professional settings.

I was awarded my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology in 1994, after earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Communications. I have been licensed as a Psychologist by the State of Connecticut since 1995. I had more than six years of training and experience in providing therapies before I became a Doctor of Psychology, and three years of supervised practice after earning my Ph.D. I have trained and worked in hospital, clinic, university, and outpatient office settings.

I co-founded Adult and Adolescent Psychological Services in 1998 with Dr. Richard Nicastro. My colleague Dr. Nicastro has relocated to another state but continues his therapeutic practice. For information visit: http://www.strengthenyourrelationship.com/
I now share space and resources with Dr. Kathleen Garnet, Dr. Mathew Snow, Dr. Beth Giurelli http://drbethgiurelli.com and Mary Ann Reagan, LICSW.
